SWITCH POINTS AND CROSSINGS

Switch pointes are installed at points of convergence or branching of contact lines and are designed for smooth movement of sliding contacts of pantographs from the directions of contact lines that converge at this node in the direction of further movement, or for automatically changing the direction of movement of sliding contacts of pantographs depending on the amount of current consumed by the trolleybus . They provide a galvanic break between oppositely polarized contact wires, as well as extinguishing the electric arc created by the load current when passing the sliding contacts of pantographs at the break points.

Crossings are installed at the intersection of contact lines and are intended for the intersection of trolleybus lines, or trolleybus lines with trams. Ensure smooth passage of sliding contacts of pantographs.
